When you tiptoe out to the edge of the sea
I will wait for you
Cautiously to frighten the circling birds
I will put down your bed
When you wrinkle your nose because the water is cold
I will be laying down to sleep
When you're up to your ankles in surf
I will be right here
When the current catches you up in its powerful arms
I will smile and boil potatoes
When you look out to the distant horizon to dream
I will take my tea
And in the day and in the night
always I will be here for you
I have been there times before
I don't want to disturb you
I didn't want to see you cry
So I stayed at home
Your white shirt trailing in the wind behind you
 The soft and dappled sea
Oh there are people just like you
All over the world
In Jesus' Name
Amen
